Academic Adobe Premiere Elements 7_1.jpgIf you are like many people who happen to use a flash with your camera you are most likely seeing shadows in the backgrounds. But now you don’t have to bother. There are ways through using Adobe Elements 7 by which you can remove those shadows. Adobe elements are a great tool especially for the amateurs.

Whether you are a newbie or an expert in the picture taking field you probably know that the flash on your camera is great when you are trying to take pictures either indoors or out. However when you are using a flash on your camera it can also create certain problems if your subject happens to be a little too close to the background itself. This is how the shadow you see in the background of your pictures is created. When you are taking pictures for cash this can create some huge problems with your customers complaining to you about these shadows. There are ways that you will be able to fix this however by using the Adobe Elements 7 program, as you will discover here in this Adobe Elements 7 tutorial.

1.To begin you will need to clone over the shadow area in the background. This can be a difficult step for you to do. This is due to the fact that it may be hard to tell where the shadow ends and the picture begin. You will not be able to use the magic wand tool as you will see the same results. The alternative to this step then would be to go to your menu and choose the layer option, and then choose the new layer option. Now you will want to choose the Greyscale Mapping Color from the list that will appear and then click ‘ok’.

Next you can click on the gradient that is used for Greyscale Mapping color bar, which will call up the gradient editor. Once you have done these steps you are going to want to select the black to white feature. In the area below the presets you will now see that the tonal range is now set to black and white. Now you should take the white marker that is located below the scale and drag it across the left while you are also watching your picture. You will need to continue to drag it till you can define where the shadow ends and the subject begins.

2.Now you can go to your selection tools and choose either the wand or the magnetic lasso option. Once you have selected one of these you will need to click on the eye icon located next to the adjustment layer and shut it off. You are now going to select the background layer. Now you are going to want to take your lasso and roughly draw around the shadow.

3.Finally you are going to select your clone tool and begin taking detail from outside the selected area and clone them over the shadow. Once you have completed this your shadow will be gone.

Wasn’t that easy enough? Really hoped you enjoyed this Adobe Elements 7 tutorial!

Unfortunately, however, photographs are not able to maintain the same quality as they age. Since photographs are mere paper they are often affected by things such as moisture, dust and scratches and even light. The end result is you will end up having photos that are too light, have scratches and are no longer looking that good.

Once you have scanned the photos you are just one step to restoring and repairing them.

With Adobe Elements you will be able to open the scanned images of your photos. When you open the photos you can now edit them as you wish using the tools that are provided by the software. So we are going to look at each of the three tools that you will come across in Adobe Elements and how you can make use of them in restoring your photos. First the smudge tool, this tool is very effective at masking any scratches that would have been on the original photo that you scanned. How to Play With Pixels in Adobe Elements Tricks and Tips

Posted on 22. Jun, 2009 by admin in Elements Tools, Elements Tutorials

images_1.jpgAdobe Elements is a user friendly program that allows persons with basic computer knowledge to edit their digital photos as is done with the more professional programs such as Photoshop. Adobe Elements gives you a wide range of modes in which you can run the program depending what you want to do with the digital images. So you can do a full edit or a quick fix on your photographs and the good part is you can do this all with so much ease when using Adobe elements.

With Adobe Elements you will be basically manipulating the pixels as pixels are the smallest components of an image. With Elements you will get access to tools that will allow you to change the shades of individual pixels and even delete pixels to remove undesired parts on an image. With Elements you will be able to remove undesired backgrounds such as shadows and all this is done by just changing the colour of the pixels within the shadow image. There are many ways of removing undesired backgrounds one of them being the deleting of pixels and another being changing the colour of the pixels such that it blends in with other components of the image.

With Elements you will also be able to manipulate the pixels in an image using some of the tools such as the smudge, blur and sharpening tools. With these tools you will be able to fix a photo that appears to be over exposed so you can actually adjust the pixels forming the background to blend with the targeted image. You can also correct an image that appears blurred by using the sharpen tool which will increase the number of pixels allow the image to become clearer.

Then there is the burn tool which manipulates the colour of the pixels in such a way that you can change the appearance of images by giving them better tones. Thus you can use this tool for images that may have been over exposed such that the image has parts that are too light. If however the image or photo appears to be too dark you can correct this by using the dodge tool which will reduce the tone of the pixels in the targeted area to a lighter one.

So you can agree that Adobe Elements is a program that allows you to manipulate the elements of a photograph which are in actual fact the pixels. Since pixels are separate individual dots that make up an image you can change the colour of individual pixels in a certain region of a photo without affecting the colour of the pixels in a nearer proximity. Thus you will have the freedom of changing the background colours giving your photograph that unique touch which cannot be achieved without the help of photo editing programs such as Adobe elements. The good part of it all is that you will be able to edit all your photos like a professional without undergoing any complicated training. So why not play with pixels the Elements way.

If you need to Master Adobe Photoshop Elements in no time at all, so you can quickly and easily edit your digital photos, and impress your family and friends,  then this is definitely for you.  Click Here to receive a FREE Sample LearnElementsNow Video Tutorial…

Remember that whenever you are making editions and deletions in your original photograph, always do it in a new layer as this makes your editing job easier. Now comes the turn of enhancing the lively appeal of the picture by accentuating its color scheme.
